Over 2000 Pounds of Food!!
The Stanislaus County Fair Board of Directors has again invited USF to collect canned food for opening night July 28 th at the Fair Gates. COLLECT THEY DID - over 2000lbs of food - for the USF food box program. Thanks to all those people who helped provide food for the needy in Stanislaus County . Thank you to all the volunteers and Boy Scout Troop #451 for the help of collecting cans and distributing $2.00 coupons at the gates.

Stanislaus County Apple Pie Contest
WONDERFUL APPLE PIES “This was the opinion of all the lucky judges who sampled over 40 pies at the fair”. USF was the recipient of over 80 pies. Dr Dubyak and his family of Dubyak Family Chiropractic on Geer Road organized this wonderful contest in conjunction with the County fair. He donates $100.00 to the 1 st place winner and $50.00 to the 2 nd place winner. Thanks to all the contestants and judges and a special thanks to the Dubyak Family for a great event. Keep an eye out for the pumpkin pie contest coming this fall just before Thanksgiving.

‘PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE”
581 individuals received 3 meals for 3 days via the Emergency Food Box Program. Because of your faithful support, 5,229 meals were provided during July 2006. You made it possible for USF Daily Bread Trucks to serve 29,676 meals in July 2006. On the highest day 1,781 meals were served.

Feinstein Foundation Challenge
We have completed another Feinstein Foundation Challenge. The grand total raised by the 1500 participating anti-hunger agencies nation wide was $159M. Our percentage that we received did decrease because of the large number of participants. We, along with quite a few other agencies are all trying to fight hunger. Thank you to all the donors who participated in this years challenge.
