The Stanislaus County Fair is opening at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, July 30th. We have received permission again this year from the Board of Directors of the Fair to collect canned food at the gates on opening night. If you bring one can of food that night, you will receive a $2.00 off coupon for Adult Admission to the fair. This is a great opportunity to help us help others and have fun at the fair for less!

APPLE PIE CONTEST

The opening night of the Stanislaus County Fair, will be our Second Annual All-American Apple Pie Contest, sponsored by Dubyak’s Family Chiropractic. Bake your favorite recipe and have it judged by local celebrities. Remember to register at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds before July 15th at 5:00 p.m. to enter your pie. Bring your pie to the fairgrounds on the morning of July 30th. The first prize award is $100.00, 2nd prize is $50.00. All the pies entered will be given to the United Samaritans Foundation.

We are in need of assistance in picking up donations between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Meals served on our trucks during the month of June were 47,721. In our emergency food program, 222 families (658 people) were provided with a three-day, three meals per day supply of food, which equals 5,922 meals.

Our little ones are still in need of diapers, wipes, and formula (Similac). We are always in need of men’s large size jeans. Thank you to everyone who is saving hotel toiletries and coffee packets while on vacation. Keep up the good work! Our homeless population is very appreciative of being provided with the convenient sample sizes for their showers.

Until further notice, we will no longer be accepting large donations of clothes and furniture. We are presently short-staffed and unable to keep up with the sorting. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
