How to Save $2.00 at the Fair

 

The Stanislaus County Fair opens 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 28 th . Receive a $2.00 discount on Adult Admission by bringing one can of food. This not only saves you money, it benefits USF. The Stanislaus County Fair Board of Directors has once again invited USF to collect canned food at the Fair Gates on opening night. Bring one can of food Friday, July 28 and receive $2.00 discount on Adult Admission.

Volunteers are needed to receive food – 2 hour shifts, call (209) 668-4853 and volunteer. Come and join the fun at the Fair.

Dr. Dave Dubyak of Dubyak Family Chiropractic has informed USF that the entry deadline has been extended for the

Fourth Annual All American Apple Pie Contest. Deliver your TWO delicious apple pies to the Fairgrounds office on the corner of Broadway and Canal on Friday, July 28 between 7:00 am to 11:00 am. One pie will be judged and the other pie will be served with lunch from the Daily Bread Lunch Trucks. The judging will begin Friday, July 28 at 6:00 p.m. 

Dr. Dubyak reports that there are already 40 entries, which equals 80 pies already. THANKS to all you that have already registered.

Our hours at United Samaritans Foundation are daily between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. We are open to receive any donations or to answer any questions you may have. If you have any recommendations, we would gladly listen to them. Please drop by 220 S. Broadway, Turlock , or give us a call at 668-4853.

USF NEEDS NEW OR GENTLY USED ITEMS SUCH AS:

Men and women's short sleeve shirts, all types of underwear, sleeping bags and men & women's jeans. SOCKS, SOCKS, AND MORE SOCKS. Personal toiletry items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, deodorant, including bath towels will be greatly appreciated. Also at the present time we could use any type of cleaning supplies.

Please bring your donations to United Samaritans Foundation at 220 S. Broadway, Turlock. All donations are tax deductible. Receipts are given.

USF Daily Bread Trucks served 29,825 meals in June 2005. USF Daily Bread Trucks serve Hughson, Modesto , Ceres/Keyes and Turlock areas. 193 families (501 individuals) received Emergency Food Boxes
