Letter Carrier

Because of the community’s generosity and involvement, the National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive generated 6,400 lbs. of food for USF. Thank You for participating in this annual Food Drive. Your loyal support of this Annual Drive enables USF to continually reach out to those in need.

PIE CONTEST HELPS HUNGRY

The fourth annual All American Apple Pie Contest is on Friday, July 28 at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds. Judges will taste and grade each pie for appearance, taste & texture of the crust & filling. First place winner will receive $100.00 and second place will receive $50.00. Event sponsored by Dr. Dave Dubyak of Dubyak Family Chiropractic. For more information call 668-1333 or 668-1944

Stanislaus County Fair

The fair opens Friday, July 28 at 5:00 PM. Receive a discount on your adult admission fee by donating a can of food for those in need. Volunteers are needed to receive food – 2 hour-shifts. Contact Bill Sturtevant for more information (209) 668-4853.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

USF is always in need of volunteers. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in your community. If you would like to volunteer, opportunities are available. You can make a difference!


Did you know that USF also provides a laundry and shower facility for those in need as well as a postal mail station?

USF NEEDS NEW OR GENTLY USED ITEMS SUCH AS:

Men and women’s short sleeve shirts, all types of underwear, sleeping bags and men & women’s jeans. All baby items (no car seats or furniture). Personal toiletry items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, deodorant, including bath towels will be greatly appreciated.

Food items: TUNA & SPICES.

Please bring your donations to United Samaritans Foundation at 220 S. Broadway, Turlock. All donations are tax deductible. Receipts are given.

Because of your faithful support, USF Daily Bread Trucks served 31,453 meals in May 2006. Emergency Food Boxes provided 6,219 meals to 254 families.
