HARVESTING A LEGACY OF HOPE

"October 29 is the Date !!"

Board President John S. Rogers and Marie Assali, Event Chairperson, invite you to join them and other Friends of United Samaritans Foundation on October 29th at Sky Trek Aviation in Modesto . “Harvesting a Legacy of Hope” is the theme for the first annual $100-a-plate fundraising dinner. An enjoyable evening begins at 6:00 pm with wine, hors d'oeuvres, silent auction and raffle. Dinner and entertainment at 7:00 pm. A live auction at 8:00 pm will conclude the evening. Pumpkin Pie Contest!
It's That Time Again!!!!!

Dr. Dave Dubyak has once again volunteered to host the “Annual Pumpkin Pie Contest.” What are the requirements??? Bake two pumpkin pies. One pie will be judged and one will be given to USF for the Daily Bread Trucks for a Thanksgiving meal. Get your recipes out, turn your oven on and get to baking! Please bring your pies to 3008 Geer Road , Turlock on Monday, November 21 between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Judging will begin after 6:00 p.m. Think what YOU could do with the prize money! Thank you for helping.

Executive Director Bill Sturtevant states that winter gloves, hats, plastic ponchos, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, sleeping bags, men and women's jeans are needed NOW.

When you purchase your Halloween Candy, please purchase an extra bag for USF to distribute to children. The candy must be individually wrapped. Distribution will be done from the Daily Bread Trucks. These trucks serve areas in Turlock , Modesto , Ceres, Keyes, Hughson, Empire, Waterford , Hickman and Denair.

HELPING PEOPLE

643 individuals received 3 meals for 3 days via the Emergency Food Box Program. Because of your faithful support, 5,787 meals were provided during September 2005. You made it possible for USF Daily Bread Trucks to serve 27,022 meals in September 2005. On the highest day 1,641 meals were served.
