SEPTEMBER 2004

A TIME FOR REMEMBERING

Many things have changed for our country during the past year and many other things have remained unchanged. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with our military personnel doing their jobs to keep our country safe.

In today’s world we can get so busy running from here to there to get things done that we sometimes forget to recognize and thank all those who make our mission possible. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our volunteers who give their time and services, to those who donate clothing, food, furniture, and other goods, and to those whose monetary gifts help us purchase food – we could not provide the level of service we offer to our communities without each and every one of you. Thanks to all of you for your never-ending support.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

With school now open, we are asking for donations of school supplies for those in need. Our supplies are running low. The items we received were distributed to and used by students of all ages. We are still receiving requests for backpacks.

Please help us help the students by dropping your contributions off at our office a t 220 S. Broadway, Turlock. We are open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

IN NEED OF

Our little one are always in need of diapers, (don’t forget the bigger sizes), baby wipes, and formula (Similac). Our big guys are in need of jeans, sizes 30-36 W x 30-34 L. The cold weather will be here before long and there will be a big need for blankets. In our homeless drop in area we are still in need of disposable razors and deodorant. Last but not least our kitchen crew needs hand can openers to open our many cans of tuna, we are also needing maternity clothes for our soon-to-be mothers.
